Pirates Compete In 4th Straight GF, Ressies Set For Prelim

The BrewHub Uni Pirates will compete in another Grand Final on a bumper Saturday for the club as they chase a remarkable fourth consecutive premiership, while the Ressies play a prelim down the road.

The unbeaten Pirates/Thirds are competing in the C5 Division and play North Fremantle at 2:45pm at Wyong Reserve in Bentley.

Coach Jake Day and his assistant Chris Ninkov are chasing history as they try to become the first senior men’s team at University to go through a season undefeated since 1934, but also win four straight flags.

As well, the Steinepreis Uni Bulls will play North Beach in the A Reserves Preliminary Final at 1:05pm at South Oval at Curtin Uni (which is a five-minute drive to Wyong Reserve according to Google Maps).

Simon ‘Weaps’ Fitzgerald’s side will qualify to play Curtin Uni Wesley in the Grand Final on Saturday 26 September at Bassendean Oval if they win on Saturday.

The venues are bloody convenient so make sure you get out to Bentley on Saturday to support both teams!

Saturday 19 September
A Reserves Preliminary Final – North Beach v Uni Bulls, South Oval, 1:05pm
C5 Grand Final – Uni Pirates v North Fremantle, Wyong Reserve, 2:45pm
