Finals Footy Starts On Saturday For Uni Stormers

Finals footy begins this weekend for University in the Women’s A-Grade when the Stormers take on West Coast at City Beach Oval from 1pm on Saturday.

University finished the seven-round 2020 season in fourth with a 4-3 record and will play West Coast in an elimination final.

The winner will play the loser of the simultaneous semi-final between Curtin Uni Wesley and Warnbro Swans in the preliminary final.

Unfortunately, the Uni Peacocks missed the Women’s C3 finals and their season is over.

Meanwhile in the men’s comps this Saturday, Uni is away to North Beach in the A-Stream from 11:25am, 1:05pm and 2:45pm.

In the lower stream, the Uni Dingoes and Pirates are on the bus down to play Armadale from 12:50pm and 2:30pm, while the C-Colts are away to Collegians from 1pm.

The following weekend marks a momentous occasion, when club legend Greg ‘Erk Dog’ Erskine breaks Rob ‘8 Bucks’ Turner’s long-standing record for most games for the Uni Footy Club.

Erk Dog will play his 377th game in green and blue for the Uni Dingoes in C5 Reserves against North Fremantle from 12:45pm on Saturday 29 August and the club strongly encourages everyone to get down to the club for the occasion.
