University claimed five wins from five matches on Saturday, including taking out the Skinny Maskiell Cup once again in a great sign moving ahead with finals coming up.

Uni rounded off the regular season in style, defeating arch rivals Wembley by 50 points under lights at Pat Goodridge Reserve.
University enjoyed another exciting Saturday of footy with A-Grade recording a hard-fought narrow win to stay in the hunt for third spot while our Women’s A-Grade side won their semi final.

It is with great sadness that the University Football Club loses another past player.
Geoff Laurent died suddenly while cycling in Europe. Geoff started his Amateur career with Collegians before seeing the light and moving to University. Geoff captain-coached A Grade in 1973/74 and was an A Grade Premiership Player in 1977.

University’s faint top two hopes in the A-Grade were ended after defeat away to CBC, while the Pirates clinched the minor premiership in D1.
The other big news comes from our Women’s A-Grade side who will play North Beach in a semi-final at Lightning Park 7pm this Saturday.
